The Yima Gasification Plant, located in Yima, Henan, is one of the earliest gas chemical plants using Lurgi gasifiers in China. The facility’s wastewater treatment station has 5 SBR biochemical reactors with capacity of 1,000m3 each, and treats up to 5,000 m3 coal gasification wastewater per day. The BioDopp biochemical technology is used for renovation of one SBR tank. After renovation, the BioDopp biochemical reaction tank is able to treat 1,500m3 of gasification wastewater. Though the capacity is increased by 50%, the power consumption per tonne of wastewater is reduced by 40%. Moreover, the effluent quality is noticeably better than that from the previous SBR reactor.
